Along the way, Factor bought the property next door and his home was expanded to incorporate a 2,700-square-foot guest house.

Together with landscape architect Victoria Pakshong of [place] landscape collaborative, (fer) studio made a plan for its enlarged house's natural upslope. A railroad-tie path traverses the whole width of the property, and the enlarged entryway/ driveway is constructed from concrete pavers and permeable Grasscrete. The pool and outside action zones are made with an emphasis on the flat lines of their house, keeping a very low profile so that nothing beats that amazing view.
