A railroad-tie path traverses the whole width of the estate, and the enlarged entryway/ driveway is constructed of concrete pavers and permeable Grasscrete. Over time, though, Sari let a different vision for her lawn take shape, one that was motivated by the book Last Child in the Woods and its own notion that unstructured outdoor play is good for kids' development.
