Along the way, Factor purchased the property next door and his home was expanded to incorporate a 2,700-square-foot guest house.

A railroad-tie path traverses the entire width of the estate, and the enlarged entryway/ driveway is constructed of concrete pavers and permeable Grasscrete. As time passes, however, Sari let another vision for her yard take form, one which was motivated by the book Last Child in the Woods and its own notion that unstructured outdoor play is fantastic for kids' development.
