Along the way, Factor bought the house next door and his residence was expanded to incorporate a 2,700-square-foot guest home.

Gore loves tree trunks for children's outdoor spaces, both since they are a natural repurposed material and because"they can be rearranged endlessly," she says. In the front lawn, the Lehrer children use them as oversized steppingstones.
