Preserving its post-and-beam structure and rhythm, (fer) studio added a carport, cabana, and a gym with a private patio serving the master suite. Along the way, Factor purchased the house next door and his residence was enlarged to include a 2,700-square-foot guest home.

Along with landscape architect Victoria Pakshong of [place] landscape collaborative, (fer) studio made a plan for its enlarged property's natural upslope. A railroad-tie path traverses the whole width of the estate, and also the enlarged entryway/ driveway is made from concrete pavers and permeable Grasscrete.
